Michael Clear, Chair of the Private Client Service Department at Wiggin and Dana, has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), one of the most prestigious designations in the field of estate planning and trust law.

ACTEC is a nonprofit association of peer-elected lawyers who are widely recognized as leaders in trusts and estates. Fellowship in ACTEC is granted only to those who demonstrate the highest level of competence, integrity, and experience in their practice. It is an acknowledgment of Michael’s exceptional legal skills, commitment to the profession, and ongoing contributions to the field.

“I couldn’t be prouder that Michael Clear has been elected an ACTEC Fellow,” said Dan Daniels, Private Client Services Partner and Michael’s longtime mentor. “Mike has brought a forward-thinking and team-oriented approach to his leadership of Wiggin’s Private Client Services Department.  His elevation to ACTEC is confirmation by his peers that he’s also among the very best practitioners in our field.”

As an ACTEC Fellow, Michael joins an exclusive group of legal professionals who share a commitment to maintaining high ethical standards, advancing the study of trust and estate law, and providing skilled guidance to clients. ACTEC Fellows are involved in education, policy discussions, and pro bono efforts aimed at improving the legal landscape for estate planning and wealth management.
